The search for a missing Chippenham woman has entered its third day.
Police are continuing the urgent hunt for Fiona Edson, who disappeared from Monkton Park with her mobility scooter on Sunday afternoon (25 June).
Specialist search teams and Wiltshire Search and Rescue volunteers have been out looking since early on Monday morning (26 June).
The police helicopter carried out two separate searches on Monday, to no avail.
Fiona, aged in her 50s, is described as white, approximately five feet five inches tall, with dark brown hair in a ponytail.
It’s said that when she left her home address, she was wearing a khaki cotton shirt and blue denim shorts.
A new photograph, obtained from her Facebook account, is said to have been taken recently – and is described as a better representation of her by a friend.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said on Monday: “Officers are conducting extensive searches on foot, on bike, in vehicles and are being supported by volunteers from Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WILSAR) and colleagues at NPAS and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in their efforts to locate Fiona.
“We believe Fiona may be in the Chippenham or Calne area – we are extremely concerned about her welfare and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.
“If you have information in relation to Fiona’s whereabouts, please call 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
