A potentially deadly teether had been recalled over fears it could kill children.
The mushroom-shaped item has been sold on eBay, but the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) are concerned that a child may suffocate when using it.
The product’s head can be turned inside out, resulting in a suction cup that could prove fatal.
“The product presents a risk of suffocation as it has been identified that the mushroom head can flip around creating a tight suction, with the eyes not being rigid enough to prevent the mouth and nose from being pushed in”, a spokesperson said.
They added: “If this suction is over the mouth of a child or infant and the parent or guardian does not notice in time, the child may suffocate.”
