Firefighters in Swindon hosted multiple emergency services this week for a day of joint training exercises involving a range of challenging rescue scenarios.
The event, held at Swindon fire station, brought together crews from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and South Western Ambulance Service.
Scenarios included a house fire, a road traffic collision, and a rescue from height. Each exercise was designed to enhance inter-agency coordination during complex incidents.

The teams also observed roadside operations being performed in a simulated environment, giving each service the chance to better understand the roles and capabilities of their counterparts.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The crews also got an opportunity to see road side operations being performed in a simulated environment, working together and learning about each team’s capabilities.
“A great learning day for all involved.”
