A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash near the Swindon Designer Outlet.
Two air ambulances landed in Faringdon Road Park at around 8pm this evening (17 September) following reports of the road traffic collision.
The incident is believed to have involved a black motorcycle and a car on Kemble Drive, at the junction with the Outlet car park.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance was first to arrive at around 8pm, followed by Isle of Wight Air Ambulance which landed next to it at around 8.15pm.
Police officers closed the road in both directions whilst emergency responders – including firearms officers – provided critical care to the injured biker.
Wiltshire 999s understands that the man’s next of kin has been informed about the collision.
At 9.30pm, Wiltshire Air Ambulance left the scene and soon after landed at Southmead Hospital, the closest regional trauma centre.
Kemble Drive is expected to remain closed into the early hours of tomorrow morning (Saturday 18 September) as collision investigation work is undertaken.
