More than 20 firefighters are battling a blaze at a house in Warminster.
Emergency services were called to the serious fire at a property in The Downlands at around 2.45pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
Fire crews from Warminster, Trowbridge and Shaftesbury were initially mobilised to the scene alongside an aerial ladder platform appliance from Swindon.
Two further crews, from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, were also sent.
On arrival, firefighters found a “well developed” blaze on the first floor, according to a Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
They added: “Four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and are still working to dampen down the property.”
It’s not yet clear if anybody has been injured, but there are no ambulances present.
Wiltshire Police have taped the property off as a crime scene, with investigations expected to be carried out over the coming hours.
