A missing Trowbridge man’s body has been discovered in woodland near the A350.
Police attended Biss Wood, off Yarnbrook Road, yesterday morning (Tuesday, 19 March).
Officers were on scene for several hours as they dealt with the incident. Forensics and detectives are also believed to have been visited the scene.
Locals noticed the emergency services presence at Bels Cafe, in the Stoney Gutter lay-by.
Wiltshire Police said that the family of a missing have been informed, but formal identification has not yet taken place. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
The force referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct due to the fact officers were actively searching for the individual at the time.
