A woman has sadly died following a collision near Calne earlier this week.
At approximately 2.45pm on February 26, three vehicles – a Vauxhall Zafira, Dacia Sandero and a Nissan Juke – were involved in a collision on the A3102.
The driver of the Dacia, a woman in her 60s from Melksham, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with life threatening injuries. Sadly, she died in hospital yesterday (Thursday, 29 Febuary).
Her family are aware and are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
“Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time”, Wiltshire Police said.
The road was closed between Calne and Sandy Lane while collision investigators attended the scene. It reopened at approximately 1am the following morning.
Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, should call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 173 of February 26.
