A Melksham man has been charged with a string of domestic abuse offences.
39-year-old James Porter appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on 24 July.
Wiltshire Police said they have charged him with two counts of intentional strangulation, stalking involving fear of violence and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.
The offences relate to the same complainant, a woman, and are alleged to have taken place between 1 October 2024 and 21 July 2025 in Trowbridge and Melksham.
Porter is also accused of drug driving in Bromham, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance or a licence.
The defendant, of Church Walk, has been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance – at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 31 July.
