Police are hunting for a man who ran away from officers guarding him while they visited a hospital in Bath in the early hours of this morning.
David Woolridge, aged 21, from Taunton, had been remanded in custody in Melksham, to appear at court this morning in relation to drug offences.
He was taken to Bath Royal United Hospital last night as a medical precaution, but ran away from officers when he was leaving the A&E department and headed in the direction of Coombe Park at approximately 5.40am this morning.
Woolridge has links to the Somerset area, as well as Plymouth.
He is described as having white but tanned skin, approximately 5 ft 7 inches tall with straight black shoulder length hair which is dyed brassy on the ends. He was last seen wearing a beige long sleeve top and skinny jeans, and has a number of tattoos including a black butterfly on his spine and a coloured tattoo on his left palm resembling a butterfly.
Woolridge is not described as violent.
Officers are continuing with their enquiries to locate Woolridge and are urging members of the public who may see Woolridge, or anyone who knows any information regarding his whereabouts, to call your local police force on 101.
