Police are appealing for help following an incident between two sets of walkers in Warminster.
Two men were walking their dog along Folly Lane when they encountered another group, also walking a dog, at around 7.50pm on Monday night (6 September).
When the men made the group aware that they had a nervous dog, they say that one of them, a man in his 60s, became aggressive towards them – reportedly threatening them with a knife.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We know there were other people in the area at the time so we’re looking to speak to anyone who saw what happened or saw the group involved.
“The man in his 60s is described as having white sideburns and was wearing a beige jacket. He was with two women, one in their twenties and the other in their 60s. The dog is described as being a large, black dog.
