A man wielding an axe has chased a victim in Swindon town centre.
The incident happened in Fleet Street, off Fleming Way, at around 7.45pm on 14 May.
The victim, a man, was punched in the face and chased – with the suspect brandishing an axe. The perpetrator then left the scene in a car.
A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of affray, common assault and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has since been released on bail, and police are appealing for witnesses.
