A man’s been stabbed during a violent robbery in a notoriously dangerous underpass.
The attack happened at around 9.20pm on Friday night, when the victim suffered a puncture wound to his buttock in aptly named ‘Muggers Alley’, off Station Road in Swindon.
Just £40 in cash was stolen from the casualty, who’s aged in his 40s.
He was taken to Great Western Hospital for his injuries, and discharged on Saturday.
Back in 2014, cyclist Tom Rogers was murdered during a robbery which went horribly wrong. Since, CCTV cameras have been installed but violent crime continues to be rife in the area.
Wiltshire Police say their investigation is currently ongoing.
