A man has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run on a residential road in Salisbury.
Emergency services responded to reports of a car striking a pedestrian in Pembroke Road at around 11.45am this morning (Friday, 23 September).
The victim, a man in his 40s, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.
Police have launched a probe into the incident, with detectives carrying out door-to-door enquiries near the scene.
Blood is visible on the pavement within a small cordon, which is being guarded by officers in a Ford Ranger.
The force has confirmed the man’s injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact us on 101 quoting log number 89 of today’s date.”
