A man was seriously hurt during an incident at a pub in Swindon on Sunday (11 June).
Police officers and paramedics rushed to The Deers Leap in Penhill Drive, Penhill, at around 6pm.
On arrival, they found a man with a serious head injury – caused by it going through a window pane.
The 999 call reported that the casualty had put his own head through the glass, but officers are investigating the circumstances and hope to get to the bottom of events.
A local told Wiltshire 999s that they believe it was the result of a disorder – with two other men pushing the victim’s head into and through the window.
The wounded man was rushed to hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time but his injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing in relation to the circumstances of the incident”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed.
They added: “Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230061151.”
