A man was seriously injured when he fell from scaffolding in Fairford on Thursday (5 October).
Ambulance crews were called to an address on The Green, off Coronation Street, at around 12.30pm.
A man, aged in his 60s, was working on a property when he fell to the ground – sustaining a serious head injury.
Great Western Air Ambulance was tasked, with the helicopter landing in the Mill Lane area to allow the on board critical care medics to provide urgent assistance.
The casualty was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Later on Thursday, he was said to be in a stable condition.
Gloucestershire Constabulary was also called to the incident following a report from the ambulance service.
A force spokesperson confirmed that an “investigation into the circumstances is now being led by the Health and Safety Executive [HSE]”.
A HSE spokesperson said: “We are aware of this incident and making enquiries.”
