A man’s been handed community order and a curfew after he was caught dealing drugs by plain clothed police officers in Chippenham in the summer of last year.
The police were alerted to Adam Sartain’s suspicious behaviour by a member of the public in Coppice Close, where he was approaching vehicles and making exchanges with the occupants.
The 20-year-old, of Allington Way, appeared at Swindon Crown Court after being charged with possession with the intent to supply cannabis, a class B drug.
He was handed a two-year community order, 200 hours of unpaid work, a four-month curfew between 7pm and 6am, and a confiscation order for drugs and telephones.
A spokesperson for Chippenham Police said: “Fantastic work by the officers involved and it is appreciated for all the support that the public have provided.”
