A man reportedly pointed a gun a woman in Trowbridge town centre this morning.
The incident happened in the Wicker Hill area at around 8.15am, when the male in his 20s was spotted with the suspected firearm.
The victim’s daughter, who we are not naming to protect her identity, said her mother witnessed the man “waving a gun around” moments before he “pointed it straight at her”.
“Luckily she was not hurt but is obviously shaken after the whole ordeal”, she added.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We received a call at 9.20am this morning from a woman reporting a suspicious incident which took place at approximately 8.15am this morning – the woman had seen a man carrying what she believed to be some form of firearm in the Wicker Hill area.
”The man is described as white, aged in his late 20s, with short dark hair.
”It is not clear whether this was a toy gun.
”Enquiries were conducted in the area but there was no trace of the man.“
