A man’s died after suffering a cardiac arrest in a central Swindon street.
South Western Ambulance Service was called to the serious medical incident in Broadgreen at around 5pm yesterday afternoon following reports of a man falling unresponsive.
Supporting paramedics at the scene, Wiltshire Police officers erected a cordon – closing Salisbury Street in both directions whilst 999 crews worked on resuscitating the casualty.
Despite medics’ best efforts, the 53-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and the next of kin have been informed”, a police spokesperson confirmed. Adding: “Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.”
