A man has been pronounced dead following a serious incident on a building site.

Emergency services were spotted responding to the Persimmon Homes site in Badbury Park, Swindon, at around 4pm today (14 April).

Two ambulances and six police vehicles were in attendance at the scene off Homington Avenue.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) was also called to the incident, arriving on site at 5pm.

Two detectives from Swindon CID were tasked with investigating the death, which was ruled “non-suspicious”.

Wiltshire Police has confirmed a man died at the scene and that his family have been informed.

A spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”

The HSE has been approached for comment.
