It’s claimed a 24-year-old man was ‘left to die after taking drugs’ in Frome.
Alan Sharland was pronounced dead by paramedics at an address in Castle Street at approximately 12pm on Monday (17 October).
Avon and Somerset Police have since arrested three people on suspicion of manslaughter.
It’s claimed that Mr Sharland took drugs before falling unresponsive and being abandoned by those present at the scene.
Detectives are thought to be investigating who supplied the drugs and whose inaction tragically resulted in his death.
Mr Sharland lived in Warminster, Wiltshire, before moving to Frome in recent years.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter yesterday (Thursday, 20 October).
This morning (Friday, 21 October), a 38-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
All three suspects remain in custody for questioning.
