Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a stabbing in Swindon late yesterday afternoon (8 January).

At around 4.45pm, two unknown suspects have targeted the victim, a man in his 20s, assaulting him in Kennedy Drive, Eldene.

The victim sustained a serious but not life-changing injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspects have then fled the scene. They were dressed all in black with hoods up and are thought to have been riding a black e-bike.

Officers remain in the area this morning as the investigation to establish what happened continues.

DS Sarah Munday from Swindon CID said: “We appreciate the community impact that this will cause and please be reassured that we are taking it very seriously.

“While we’re carrying out enquiries, I’d ask anyone who may be able to help to get in touch today.

“If you witnessed the incident, or believe you may have seen the suspects before or after the incident, or have any footage then please come forward.

“Anything you’re able to provide or tell us could assist us.

“Information can be left on 101 or through our website, quoting reference 54250002838, or can be left anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

“Our officers are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area – if you have any concerns then please don’t hesitate to speak to one of them.”
