A man’s been hospitalised after a disorder in Swindon town centre this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Broad Street in the Broadgreen area at around 1.50pm today, where one casualty suffered cuts to his head and hands.
A crime scene was in place for around an hour while officers gathered evidence at the scene, where it’s understood a number of suspects fled the area on foot.
The injured man, in his 30s, isn’t thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
“A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and is being taken to Gablecross custody”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Anyone with information should contact police by calling 101, quoting log 173.
