A man who was found dead in a car in Calne on Wednesday has been named locally.
Kevin Wood, who was aged in his early 30s, is understood to have served his country in the army. His body was discovered unconscious at the wheel of a well-parked silver Peugeot 207.
Emergency services raced to the scene, but their efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased at the scene in a usually very quiet Newbury Avenue.
The road was closed in both directions with crime scene tape as forensics carried out their investigation which included work at the roadside and within the car itself.
Detectives were also attending the scene, but they are said to believe his death was non-suspicious.
