A man with a firearm has been arrested after an electric bike robbery in Royal Wootton Bassett this morning (Thursday).
Police are investigating an attack on a man, who had his e-bike stolen in Tanners Close in the early hours of today.
Two suspects, both males aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of robbery a short time after the incident took place.
One of the men was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. Both remain in custody for questioning.
The injury victim sustained only minor injuries in the assault.
Inspector Scott Anger said: “I understand that this incident will have caused some concern to those living nearby.
“Members of the public may notice an increased police presence in the area for reassurance.”
