A man has died after an incident outside the prestigious Marlborough College.
Emergency services were called to reports of an unresponsive casualty on A4 Bath Road, in Marlborough, shortly after 4pm on Thursday (30 January).
It’s understood that police officers were first at the scene, and provided CPR.
Local ambulance crews and later critical care medics from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity attended in the helicopter.
Despite the best efforts of 999 crews, the man – aged in his 70s – was pronounced dead.
The A4 was closed in both directions for less than two hours.
Wiltshire Police confirmed it was a “medical incident”.
A spokesperson added: “Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”
