A man has died after a serious medical emergency in a street near Melksham.
Ambulances crews raced to reports of an unresponsive casualty in Shaw Hill, Shaw, shortly after 10pm on Saturday evening (25 January).
Police attended the scene and provided closures while paramedics provided urgent treatment to a 58-year-old man in the road.
Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this incredibly difficult time”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and the road was reopened within about two hours.
