A man has died despite the efforts of four ambulance crews and air ambulance medics.
Emergency services were called to a flat in Cricklade Road, Swindon, at around 9.30pm last night (2 December) following reports of a serious medical incident.
Four ambulances, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a co-responder from Royal Wootton Bassett Fire Station and police officers attended the scene in the Thomas Edward Coard Building.
Despite the huge number of emergency responders in attendance, the man, in his 40s, could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wiltshire Police say “his death is not being treated as suspicious”, and confirmed that the man’s next of kin has been informed.
“Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time”, a force spokesperson said.
The air ambulance touched down on playing fields of Chapel Street before critical care medics were seen jogging to the incident, approximately 300 metres away.
Local families were seen to crown the helicopter for a close-up view of the aircraft.
