A man has died after collapsing outside a supermarket in Westbury.
Emergency services raced to reports of a casualty in cardiac arrest in the Morrisons car park shortly before 8pm on Saturday evening (20 September).
A 55-year-old man received urgent medical care, with Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance landing at Westbury United Football Club.
Despite the best efforts of 999 responders, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We responded to support our colleagues in the ambulance service just before 8pm last night (20/09) following reports of a man suffering from a medical episode outside Morrisons supermarket in Westbury.
“Sadly, a 55-year-old man died at the scene.
“We are not treating his death as suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
