A man has died following a serious medical emergency at a house in Trowbridge.
Emergency services responded to reports of an unresponsive casualty at a private address in College Road at around 11.50am this morning.
Three fire service vehicles, a specialist rescue unit, a heavy rescue unit and a fire engine, were in attendance.
South Western Ambulance Service sent three ambulances, two rapid response vehicles (RRV), two teams from Wiltshire Air Ambulance (one in the helicopter and one in an RRV).
The incident nature was clearly complex, requiring a large number of emergency workers.
Wiltshire Police has since confirmed a male was pronounced dead at the scene.
“At around 11.50am today (23/02) we were called to the sudden death of a man in his 70s at an address in College Road, Trowbridge”, a spokesperson told Wiltshire 999s.
Continuing: “His death is not being treated as suspicious.
“His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
“A file will now be prepared for HM Coroner.”
