A man was found dead in a Swindon street during Storm Darragh.
As Britain was battled by strong winds on Saturday (7 December), with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for the Wiltshire area.
At around 7am that morning, emergency services responded to reports of a man having been found unresponsive in a road – understood to be in the Fleming Way area.
Members of the public provided first aid ahead of paramedics, but the casualty – aged in his 70s – was pronounced dead a short time later.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that they were informed of the incident by South Western Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the force said officers were deployed to inform the man’s next of kin of the death, which was declared “non suspicious”.
