A man has been charged with attempting to kidnap a girl in Swindon town centre.
Abdulmawal Ibrahim Adam allegedly chased and grabbed a 17-year-old in Fleming Way, while on her way home from work on 6 March.
As previously reported, it’s claimed he also followed her and invited her to his home.
The 27-year-old defendant, of Stanier Street, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday) charged with attempted kidnap.
He was remanded in police custody ahead of the hearing, and the court will decided whether or not to grand Adam bail.
The offence is indictable-only, so the case will be sent to Swindon Crown Court for a plea hearing next month.
