A man has been charged after an explosive was thrown at officers policing a football match.
The incident happened at the Swindon Town FC versus Bristol Rovers FC game on 22 January this year.
Lewis Hill, 22, of Collett Place, Swindon, has been charged with four counts of common assault of an emergency worker.
He’s also charged with one count of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely a police dog.
Wiltshire Police say an “explosive device was thrown towards officers” before the match.
Hill is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on a date to be fixed.
