A man’s been charged with attempted murder after a woman was attacked in Trowbridge.
Police officers were called to an address in Ramsbury Walk in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday 16 February) following reports of a domestic incident.
A woman, aged in her 60s, was rushed to hospital with serious wounds to her hand. She has since been discharged from hospital following treatment.
Forensics carried out investigations at the property for most of Thursday afternoon, with crime scene teams remaining on site until gone 8.30pm.
Andrew Sawyer, 66, of Ramsbury Walk, has since been charged with attempted murder.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in court tomorrow (Saturday 18 February).
