Police officers have arrested a man on suspicion on attempting to kidnap young girl in Ashton Keynes on Saturday afternoon.
At around midday on 8 July, a nine-year-old girl – who was walking with her younger sister in the Park Place area – was grabbed by a man.
Following the incident, police officers have arrested a 24-year-old local man on suspicion of attempted kidnapping; he is currently in custody.
Police enquiries are continuing and we are still appealing for witnesses to come forward; if anyone heard or saw anything suspicious in the Park Place area of Ashton Keynes around midday on Saturday, please contact the police on 101.
