A man was arrested after reportedly assaulting a police officer at a railway station.
Police were called to reports of a group of drunk men acting aggressively on board a train at around 8pm on Thursday (12 September).
The train stopped at Westbury station and officers from the British Transport Police (BTP), supported by Wiltshire Police, attended the scene.
During the incident, one of the men assaulted a police officer and continued to be abusive.
The suspect, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and committing a Section 5 Public Order Act offence.
A witness said that the man was shouting from inside the police van, and hitting out at the door.
He was questioned in custody and later released on bail – with the BPT leading the ongoing investigation.
