Cannabis plants have been seized following the execution of a drugs warrant in Devizes on Tuesday evening.
Officers executed the warrant at an address on Belle Vue Road shortly after 8pm, discovering three cannabis plants and growing equipment.
A local man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and has since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
Sgt Gareth Edwards of the Devizes Community Policing Team, said: “We will continue to disrupt any activity relating to drugs in our county wherever we can.
“We hope that this proactive work gives the local community some reassurance on how seriously we take this.
“We also carried out a leaflet drop notify the local residents of our activity to allay any concerns they may have.
“Drugs have a negative impact on the local community not only directly but also indirectly with the associated crimes such as anti-social behaviour, violence and theft.
“We will continue to combat this and urge anyone who has concerns about drug cultivation in their local area to call us.”
