Emergency services were called to the scene in Walcot at approximately 8.45pm where a man was found on scaffolding erected around a house in Naunton Road.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed on Buckhurst Field so the charity’s specialist critical care medics would provide immediate life-saving treatment to the casualty.

A number of fire crews were in attendance, including a rope rescue unit from Chippenham. The fire service attended after receiving a request for assistance from Wiltshire Police.
999 crews worked together at the incident to rescue the casualty from the first-floor scaffolding before he was put into an ambulance, taken to the helicopter and flown to John Radcliffe Hospital. The man’s condition is currently unknown.
