Police have closed a major Wiltshire road following a crash ‘involving a motorcyclist’.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the A4 between Chippenham and Calne at around 4pm this afternoon (Monday).
The incident – which happened in the Studley area – reportedly involved a car and a motorcyclist.
In a post on Facebook, Wiltshire Police wrote: “A4 closed in both directions between Studley and junction of Old Derry Hill.
“Vehicles are being diverted through Derry Hill village, but village is heavy congested.
“Please use alternative routes if possible.”
UPDATE 5.30PM: The road has reopened, with the biker taken to hospital with minor injuries.
