A major road in Melksham has been closed following a multi-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to Bank Street at around 3pm this afternoon (23 January).

The incident appeared to involve a dark-coloured Land Rover, a silver Ford Focus and a white van.

Police have shut the road between Union Street and High Street/Lowbourne.

It’s not yet clear if anyone was injured, but the route is likely to be blocked whilst recovery of the damaged vehicles is carried out.

The closure is causing significant delays in the area, including on the A350 and Farmers Roundabout.
