A main road through Royal Wootton Bassett was closed for a car fire this morning (22 September).
Firefighters were called to the scene in High Street at around 5.40am following reports of the vehicle blaze.
The flames were extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
Cutting equipment and a hooligan tool were used to gain access to the engine compartment to tackle the source of the fire.
Wiltshire Police closed the road for around an hour whilst the fire crew worked at the scene.
