A main road near Royal Wootton Bassett is closed by police following a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B4042, near the junction with the B4696 towards Ashton Keynes.
The road has been closed between the A3102 Coped Hall roundabout in Royal Wootton Bassett and the B4696.
A local resident told Wiltshire 999s that a female casualty has been injured, but was conscious and breathing at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Motorists are advised to avoid the B4042 near the junction with the B4696 – to the north of the M4 near Royal Wootton Bassett – following a serious road traffic collision.
“Road closures are likely to be in place for a number of hours.”
The road isn’t expected to reopen until the early hours of tomorrow (Monday).
