The main road between Lechlade and Fairford is closed this afternoon following a serious road traffic collision.
Emergency services, including fire crews and an air ambulance, are currently attending the crash on the Bryworth Lane junction of the A417 — just over the Wiltshire border. Its said to have happened at around 1pm.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed in a field alongside the road as their critical care medics treated a patient. They have since been transferred to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Police say the road will be closed for several hours while collision investigation work takes place.
