The popular soft play area Kidz About will close after it was ‘left without a home’.
In a statement, the Swindon company confirmed it will be closing on 24 September – but is seeking new premises and wishes to reopen in the future.
The news comes after the owners of the Spectrum Building took the building back “in its entirety” after a neighbouring tenant moved out.
A spokesperson for Kids About said: “It is with great sadness that we announce that Kidz About will be closing its doors on Sunday 24th September due to our landlord not awarding a new lease for the building.
“After the exit of a large neighbouring tenant here at the Spectrum Building, the decision was made to take the building back in its entirety, which means we have been left without a home.
“Unfortunately, we have not yet found premises suitable for delivering the experience that you deserve, but we hope to be able to update you very soon with better news.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers who have been playing the Kidz About way through thick and thin, and also to our wonderful team here who work exceptionally hard to deliver the best experiences possible to the children of Swindon.
“Please do be considerate to our staff who are still working through processing this news.
“The business will operate as normal until 6pm on Sunday 24th September, and we hope we get to see you before we close.”
