A Chippenham man has been charged with having indecent images of children.
48-year-old James Farler appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (9 April).
Keith Ballinger, prosecuting, said that his arrest followed a police investigation.
It’s claimed officers seized numerous devices from his address and indecent images of children were discovered during a forensic examination.
It’s alleged he had three category A graded images, which are the most serious – and involve penetrative sexual activity.
He’s also said to have had two category B images and another 19 that fall into category C.
The defendant, of Louise Rayner Place, Chippenham, did not enter pleas.
The case was deemed to serious for the magistrates‘ court and sent to Swindon Crown Court.
Farler was released on unconditional bail to appear for a plea hearing on 10 May.
