Immigration officers have arrested six people during a crackdown in Salisbury.
The Home Office teamed up with Wiltshire Police to target criminals in the city centre on Friday night (31 January).
Local police, supported by the Roads Policing Unit and special constables, flooded the area.
“Proactive stops were made of those using electric bikes, motorbikes and cars following a number of complaints from our community”, a spokesperson said.
“Five vehicles were seized for either having no insurance or driving licence offences – amongst those seized was an illegal e-bike.
“Six people were arrested for immigration offences.
