Hundreds of homes are without power in the Calne area this evening.
Scottish and Southern Electricity (SSE) say the power cut was first reported shortly before 6pm.
A total of 60 postcode areas area affected by the outage.
A spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply. Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.”
The power is not expected to return to homes in the area until 9pm.
