A man’s body has been discovered outside a block of flat in Swindon town centre.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Wellington Street, a stone’s throw from Swindon Railway Station, at around 9.30am this morning.
One local resident told Wiltshire 999s that the entrance area to the locked car park below the flat block is often used as shelter by homeless people during bad weather.
Detectives from Swindon CID and forensic investigators attended the scene at around 10am. Though it is not yet clear whether the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious.
The crime scene cordon was removed at around midday.
We’ve approached Wiltshire Police for comment.
