Pictures show a bloody crime scene in Swindon where a 17-year-old boy was knifed in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance in Hooper Place, Old Town, at around 4.45am on Saturday (28 August) where they found two males injured.
The under 18 was rushed to hospital with a serious stab would, whilst the other – an 18-year-old man – was also taken to hospital for treatment for unknown injuries.
Police arrested four people on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH), but they have since been released on bail by Wiltshire Police as the force continues to investigate the attack.
Pictures taken by Wiltshire 999s three hours after the incident show blood-soaked clothing and a pool of blood on a slope alongside the Siam Thai restaurant in the Britannia Place car park.
An hour later, officers covered the gory scene with a forensic tent due to the prospect of rainfall.
The walkway leads to a private car park where smashed glass could be seen lining the floor, but it’s unclear if this relates to Saturday’s stabbing.
Blood droplets were visible on the floor directly outside Tree Nightclub, where it’s believed the disorder broke out before continuing around the corner near Subway.
Detective Sergeant Justin Downes of Swindon CID said: “This was a concerning incident during which a young man suffered a potentially life-threatening injury.
“There were plenty of people outside the nightclub at the time of this incident – about 4.45am.
“We would appeal for anyone who witnessed this disorder to get in touch. We would also ask anyone who may have captured mobile phone footage of what took place not to share it, but to contact us as a matter of urgency.
“We would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
