Four people have been arrested following a ‘violent’ burglary in Chippenham.
Armed police and traffic cops worked together to stop a vehicle involved in the incident in Swindon during the early hours of today (Monday).
The car was boxed in by officers to prevent a pursuit, and the four occupants were arrested.
They remain in custody for questioning over an aggravated burglary in the town sometime earlier.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police’s Specialist Operations Unit said: “RPU and ARV using pre-emptive tactics in Swindon tonight to bring a vehicle to a stop following an earlier aggravated burglary in Chippenham.
“4 in custody with enquiries on going.”
