A house in Melksham is cordoned off as a crime scene tonight following the discovery of a body.
Police officers have been guarding the property in Berryfield Lane since this morning, when the deceased woman, in her 60s, was found.
One local resident told of how there was a forensic tent was erected outside the home earlier today.
Tonight, two officers were sat outside the address watching the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We can confirm that the body of a woman in her 60s has been located inside a property in Melksham.
“At this stage, we are keeping an open mind and our enquiries are continuing.
“We will release more information when appropriate.”
